It's just a matter of choice from year to year. I love the smell of pine that a real tree gives off. But I hate all the needles that get stuck in the carpeting, and then having to haul the dying thing off to the graveyard afterward. Fake trees on the otherhand offer good tidings packing them away and there are air sprays that offer the smell of pine. But it doesn't last and aromatize the air like the real thing. So it's a choice year to year which way to struggle with it. Bah Humbug, give me a wreath, a bottle of Jack, and a slow burning pine Glade candle and I'll be happy.

Growing up my parents had a fake one. I didn't like it because you would have to build your tree every year and there was no tree smell to it. This year (for the first time we did get a tree) we got a real one. I LOVE IT!

I luv real trees too but my house is too tiny to fit even the smallest real tree. Instead I have little mini forests in each room made of artificial trees. I also buy balsam fir candles so that my mind is tricked into thinking that I have a real tree:-) Merry Christmas!

Fresh cut. But after the holidays you have to throw the tree away!

I want a pretend one even nonetheless a real one has a magnificent smell I somewhat no longer manage having to water it and cleansing up the needles.Plus I set up my christmas village below my tree so the needles might fall throughout it.

Real trees are beautiful, but... hard to keep the house clean when you have one inside!! omg! HIGH MAINTENACE!! I like Fake, because you can keep the same one forever and it will still look ALMOST real (if you get a good one) and it doesn't hurt as mch to decorate! lol I hate the little needles of real trees when they poke my fingers :( (btw: fake tree costs alot less in the long-run!!)

Fake Christmas tree, because the real ones are just too much of a pain. For the price of a real tree, you can get a fake one that will last for several years, as opposed to just one.

Besides, you don't have to expose of the fire hazzard if its fake.

I have kids and it seems they get a kick out of having a fresh tree.

A fake one. It lasts longer and also environmentally more friendly. You cannot also fold a real Christmas tree and stow it in the basement store room.

Fake. It's easier and you can buy the fake trees with the lights already on them!
