Yes.

I don't understand the math but, if you have access to a super heavy massive rotating object then time travel is possible up to the point where the object was massive enough to use as a time travel device. This will let you go back into the pass, or swim upstream.

Thanks to time dilation it is possible to time travel into the future. We are always doing that already, but if you orbit a black hole closely then the time dilation will make time slow down relative to the rest of the universe: the famous twin paradox. So you can swim down stream faster.

Current M-Space theory, derived from quantum mechanics says that there are at least 21 dimensions in our universe, possibly more. It could be that time doesn't flow at the same rate or even flow at all in these other dimensions. Since we are 3-D creatures we would have a lot of trouble understanding higher dimensions. IF, time rate can vary from dimension to dimension then it is possible to climb out of the river and travel to another.

Normally though we are all stuck in the flow, with a steady current and no eddies (those would be around black holes). Traveling down stream to the ocean where the eventual fate of the universe lies. So the time is like a river analogy is a very good one.

really? ah ya. u cannot have the same time back again.yup its like a river.but water is plenty in the river but sometimes we find time very less and thats one difference between them.

yeah, I suppose it is. Besides the flowing thing, time (and life) are much more messy if you just wade on in and go about your business than if you just stood on the bank and watched it go by.

Time is but an utter enigma, like the wind, unable to alter, invisible, and knocks you off your feet
