I read the other answers looking for the one I believe is the most important and, although there were many that I believe beneficial, I never saw the one a long life has taught me was to be sought above all else.
Peace of mind is more important than money. The peace that can only come from inside, be you rich, poor, spiritual or atheist, healthy, sick, married, single, alone or in a crowd.

Heart intelligence. Understanding the soul. A person can be wealthy, attractive , ' successful ', etc. Yet, if that person is clueless of emotional relating within their own self and/or with others and is of shallow soul then what good does money do ? I was once in a very secure, financially affluent marriage...yet my then spouse was emotionally clueless in ways of responsibility relating. That money does not a bit a good if your heart is not valued and you cringe when you awaken up next to a person you feel empty with. I now have much less money...yet am sooooooo much happier and soulfully / spiritually in-tune.

What is more important then money?
Well considering we are talking importance here.
We all know one can not raise a family out on the street, so we know money is important to keep a family going, this is common sense.
Now that the bills are taken care of....
We know after this come the things that are important to us. Health is very important in our household. Having a disabled kid has changed my perception of life in general. One can not have a kid like we do and be living in a car....
My family is in the mix, our critters for we took on this responsibility and happy to do so. Being true to myself is very important to me. All the other typical mumbo jumbo that everyone says ....I am human too lol!

The above is all nice. But at then end of the day, it does not pay the bills. It also wrecks more relationships than most people think. Sad fact is that if you have more money and are well off, you have more privileges, power, and access, than most people who are NOT well off. It is important, but it changes people. Like a necessary evil.

Family and friends. Money is nice, but without sharing your life with those you love, it's lonely. Money can't buy that kind of happiness.
