The virus scan sid it cant delete it

Run your scan again and attempt to delete in Safe Mode.
In general, Windows does not allow the deleation of files when they are in use. However, Safe Mode will only load a minimum amount of drivers and services to run Windows, making removal a better bet. Scan again and attempt to delete while your computer is in safe mode.
To access Safe Mode, reboot then repeatedly press the F8 key at the first screen. When finished removing that pesky pest, reboot again to return to normal mode.

Use a different virus scanner and if you know tha name of the infected file, simply delete it at the command prompt by booting from a claen Win 98 bootable floppy.

go check all your files then if you see anything you dont want on your computer delete it then go to your hard drive and check for anything that could be related to the virus also a prompt to stay out of the hard drive might come up

What i do is if it stubborn, i just reformat my HD and do a clean install of Windows.
Another trick maybe to use System Restore to bring your PC back to before you got it

uninstall ur old virus scanner first, tell me one thing is it virus r spyware r worm.download AVG free anti virus from www.grisoft.com.
