We did last Friday night. We had dinner there and my Fiance had food poisoning from the Salmon. It's weird that they had fish and it's a very popular place for prime rib. We called the restaurant manager the next day and he was very defensive and unconcerned. He thinks that we only wanted something from them. We're just concerned about other people who might have the same experience. My Fiance was terribly sick for more than 48 hours with no sleep and non-stop trip to the bathroom. We reported them to the SF Health Dept.

It's a terrible restaurant - noisy, crowded, and all the personnel seem to be such in a hurry. The prime rib was good, but we're not going back there ever again.

We live in Southern California and we went there for a weekend vacation. It was a terrible experience that we would never forget.

My Auntie, Uncle, and myself ordered Prime Rib and my Fiance ordered Salmon. We ordered the same side dishes. We know it's the Salmon because I was with my Fiance all day and we ate the same food since breakfast and I didn't get sick.

To add: He ordered Salmon due to health reasons.

Well it does sound like you had a bad experience there, however you should not expect a restaurant to admit to possibly being involved in food poisoning. Even something as small as "Oh! I am really very sorry about that we will check/pull our stock right away" can make them potentially liable.

Did you take you fiance to the doctors to confirm it was food poisoning? And from where the poisoning could have occurred?

Fact is unless a number of people become ill and report it, or unless you can prove it came from the restaurant, it is unlikely the Health department will investigate.

I know I work in the hospitality industry.

Thousands of people get sick every year and report it to the Health department, but most cases are isolated or the eventual cause is proven to be a secondary source. Besides the HD is usually pretty understaffed to investigate every claim.

It could just get racked up as an isolated incident and nothing will happen.

Please understand I am not saying you have nothing to complain about, but understand unless at least a dozen others complain of the same thing, nothing will happen.

Fortunately though you live in San Fran, You will find plenty of other places with much better service. I for one know I wont dine there now.

And I am glad your Fiance is feeling better.

I have never been there, but my friend has many times. I think he only orders the prime rib though, but he raves about that place. That's too bad because I've always wanted to try that place. Maybe I will anyway, but I won't order the salmon.

Glad your fiance is feeling better, sorry that that weekend was ruined.

Never had a bad experience there.

Why would someone eat Salmon at a Prime Rib house?

convey a minimum of two times what you think of you will choose, taxes tip and splitting the invoice provides up, people gets tea, coffee, dessert, beverages etc.. you're ordering the $30 meal what is going to everybody else be ordering. determine $50 on the low area, convey $20 greater.
