resident evil code veronica x?

in the lugger room with the safe how do u open the safe it says left, right. left. right. right,right,right. i did that an nothin happens what em i doin wrong please help

Ok Make sure you turned on the computer

1) you checked the memo that said. left, right. left. right. right,right,right

2) Now slowly move slightly right and switch on the computer it should display Ashfords playing with ants

3) The computer routes power to the large music box (two buttons glow blue) the computer will ask for a 4 digit number but press Esc on the keyboard then go over to the music box.

4) then put in the left, right. left. right. right,right,right. and it will give you a number (1971)

5) Go to the computer and put in the 4 digit number, "1971"

If you have followed those steps and nothing happened then It is a glitch with your game and my have to be restarted. but before anything make sure u put the 4 digit number in.
