I cannot think of one single person that I know, that has ever said they love fruitcakes.
I think theyre nasty personally.

My mom always said that a fruitcake was a gift you would buy for someone that you didn't really like, but you had to get them something.
When my husband heard that, he jokingly got her a fruitcake for her on Christmas.
It was a joke between the two of them.

I love fruit but fruitcakes, nasty ! Seriously, I loathe fruitcakes. Chocolate cheesecake is my favourite.

My mother like "good" fruitcake. I am not sure what that actually is though. There used to be a bakery in my hometown that made fruitcake cookies that were very good.

I don't think I've ever even had fruitcake, actually. I thought it was one of those urban legends kinda.

At first I disliked fruitcakes from all the jokes about them, but when I actually ate one, I thought it was delicious. They're really good.

I like fruitcakes depending on how they are made. I would prefer smooth fruit cake .

yeah i don't like them either. they have a strange taste of alcohol and dried fruit. nobody likes them but i don't know why people still give them away for christmas...i guess fruitcake kinda is like a compulsary part of christmas--nobody wants it but they have it...but then again we should always be thankful for the things we have and for the thought of the poor lil lady who gave us fruitcake for christmas.

I myself don't like fruit cake,but my husband loves it.He makes his own,but don't tell him I said this,but as for fruitcake goes,his really isn't that bad.

I do but not the dark ones. My mom makes 2 different white kinds and I love them! I guess I am in the minority!
