No way! I grew up believing in Santa Claus. I turned out ok. As a matter of fact, I still believe in Santa. I know Santa is not real, but it is fun to believe in stuff like that. :-)

I don't think so ! Santa is the Spirit of Giving ! If you think about it during the year when we give to help someone in need or to a charity, or just a good morning or have a good day, Santa is with us. Santa is that feeling we get that moves us to give of ourselves.

No it is not bad, that makes kids happy, it made us happy when we were young. Plus when the mother says "Be good and Santa will bring you presents" kids try to be more careful polite etc. just because of the presents::))

I don't think it is bad, but it doesn't help anything either. I think finding out one of the first things your parents taught you is a lie doesn't contribute to trust in the family.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I want my kids to have Santa. My husband has no desire to do this however. He says he was devastated to find out his parents had been lying to him, and found it hard to trust them afterward.
I thought it was fun.
