Raj, I am not sure of your question, but I assume that you are asking what constitutes regular maintenance in an automobile to help prevent breakdowns. This varies from car to car but you can follow these general rules: Change the oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles or 5,000 kilometers. Change the air filter every 10,000 miles or 15,000 kilometers. Change the coolant every 3 to 5 years. Check the brake pads every 6 months. Check tire inflation every two weeks to a month. Change the timing belt at about 100,000 miles or 150,000 kilometers. Fix any problems promptly. If you do not have a factory owner's manual, try to find one.
