Hi,I have always been a very lean and in shape girl. Im a varsity track runner at my highschool. I weigh 114 pounds and I just hit 5'7. I know Im very underweight but I eat more then all of my friends. I eat whenever I'm hungry and I have never been one to pass up on food. Yes I am dont eat as much as a football player but I eat as much as my friends do. I am told how skinny and how perfect my body is all the time.. but it's really not fair.. I wish I weighed more but Im not sure how to do it.. I have tried protein shakes and I can't eat a purely McDonald's diet because I have to stay healthy for running. How do you stay healthy and gain weight? Do it need it? or am I fine as I am?

The reason you don't gain weight easily is because you have a good metabolism, so everything you eat is easily converted into energy... Don't worry, if you really eat as much as you say you do, that means you are healthy enough... It's those that try to lose weight and end up not eating anything that are unhealthy. You are fine as you are so you should stop worrying about these things... in fact, you shouldn't be worrying, because you are lucky enough to have a good body. It's okay that you're underweight, as long as the reason isn't because you are anorexic or bulimic.

That is way under the recomended weight. According to your height, it's about 20 lbs more. If it is because your naturally that way, that would be different than someone who as n eating disorder. Some people have a hard time gaining wait. It can be genetics or Hyperthiroidisim or other medical reasons. If your doctor is aware, they would have a better idea what the chances of something causing it are, and if testing is needed. Unfortunately weight isn't something easily controlled wether under or overweight, people judge and it can be hard. Do what you can to be healthy, and that is all you can do.

You are perfect, dont fear simply, cut out sugar and junk meals/saturated fats, consume lean protein, corresponding to turkey, fish, alminds, greek yogurt and more complex carbohydrates such as multi grain bagels, and oatmeal, even some brown rice or quinoa. Consume 4-5 smaller ingredients a day, find your caloric maintenance range and act upon that. I might say less than 2000 a day depending on your metabolic price and activity stage. Endeavor three or four, and if you have time perhaps 5 days every week , do excessive interval cardio and weight coaching supplement with a multivitamin and some calcium, magnesium and zinc, these will support with body composition and a few times a week treat yourself to a sauna to sweat out any water weight, its also excellent for the skin(: excellent luck, reside healthful! All of those things will regulate your weight to a healthful variety and hold off any undesirable body fat.

Honey just enjoy it while you can. I have a friend that is 63 and she is your same height and weighs 110---she works hard and that is part of the low weight. Do not anquish over being skinny, you are just fine as long as you are healthy. My daughter was always skinny and tried lifting weights to build muscle and she still did not gain weight. Just chill, as long as you feel good and are a happy girl and healthy there is no reason for concern---dis on the ones dissin' on you.

Its okay to be skinny, as long as you are eating healthy. This may be a sign of a fast metabolism. If you are really eating a lot and not gaining any weight or experience weight loss, you may want to seek medical help to rule out other underlying processes (hyperthyroidism or cancer).

For someone 5'7, you want to be between 119 - 159 lbs, according to BMI charts.

Also, do not ever consider of being on a MCD diet!

Damn u sound like me. onli im shorter. 5'5 about 110. and im a track runner. well i tried things like pills so i can eat more and i actually drank alot of milk and fatting diary products. it worked i went from like 100-113 in a matter of a couple of months but i lost it again. September i was like 103 and about to start running track for college. now im 110 its hard to gain while running in school but just eat regularly. and when u eat eat until your full each time. about 3 times a day. as u run u will build muscle and stuff. muscle is heavier then fat. eat a couple hours b4 practice and after practice. i know after a meet i wanna eat a horse so just keep eating well. ur body should catch up. plus a track body is the best to have!!!!!!!! You will fill out slowly but surely.
