good question, but there is probably too many reasons to list. from stress, to relax, to make idle conversation, and probably the knowing the feeling we get when we have a drink. but this can apply to women too. its just that men drink more because they really don't like talking to each other, so a few drinks lead to a few more. notice that when men are alone with a women they are not going to drink to much or at all.

Yeah a lot of them love to have a drink now and then, most of then have it every day. Just depends on the person weather they like it or not

To make their wives/girlfriends miserable. Alcohol is a crutch and an excuse to be obnoxious and/or abusive to their wife or girlfriend. Drunks are a poor excuse for a man. They have caused countless deaths through DWI's, they have ruined many families, including their own, and they are just taking up good space on the planet.

In my personnal case it is to:
1) help me pass out and get some sleep
2) feel less attacked by humans and the outside world
3) care less about my noisy neighbours (Mr Earthquake and the construction crew)
4) Have fun talking with mates over a few pints
That's about it!

its not all men.. some woman are even alcoholic.. but mostly..men like to drink to be the outlet of their stress and a way to unwind theirselves.. that is what i do..ehehe

aww thats because they aren't men enough, so as to feel men enough they're going to drink so as to relax their emotions by getting drunk and finding trouble.
