Does anyone know a home remedy to help with neuropathy?

I am a diabetic and have very sharp pains in my feet from the blood vessels dying off in my feet. I have tried all kinds of creams but nothing seems to help.

I don't know any home remedies. My doctor prescribed me what he called "neuropathy cream" that I rub into my feet up to 4 times a day. If you have insurance or could afford it, I would ask about this. It is the only thing I have found to help me with the burning pain that I have in my feet from the neuropathy. It has 3 or 4 ingredients in it. I am sorry I don't know what they are.

I'm a diabetic and I use inositol powder (1 teaspoon daily). It is one of the B vitamins and used to repair the myelin sheath (the outer covering surrounding the nerves). I also take 1 tablespoon of liquid potassium. Potassium is used to improve circulation. The diabetes medications on the market eat away at the myelin sheath and deplete the body of potassium. I used to get sharp pains, but the powder has helped so very much. Another post suggested Vick's, but I know with my pain, any stimulant (especially peppermint) would aggravate the nerves. Try drinking half your weight in ounces of water every day. You will feel much better overall and hopefully it will improve with the peripheral neuropathy.

I think I can help you. Dont think Im crazy because this really does work. Rub your feet in Vicks,yes I said Vicks(the under the nose cold medicine) then put cotton socks on so you dont get the vicks on your blankets or in your shoes. The minute I tried this my feet felt so much better. My feet would hurt so bad at night that I couldn't sleep. Please try this and best of luck !!!
