My mom says its really wierd. But within weeks of giving birth to my daughter I wanted to have another baby. And believe me one is enough right now! My guess is that I had (still have) huge amounts of 'mothering' hormones coursing through my body. Has anyone else had similar feelings?

People do it all the time. It isn't particularly healthy, as it doesn't give your body time to recover--especially if you're nursing and trying to grow a baby in utero at the same time! But since you appear to realize that it would be difficult for you to deal with 2 very small children at once, you're probably right--hormones.

My husband wanted another one about a month after having my first son. We ended up getting pregnant again about 10 months later. Now I have two little boys, they are 2 years old and 8 months old and now he wants to try for a girl lol. Hopefully i can hold off for a few more years lol.

It's probably normal..but not recommended! I wanted to have another one right after too..but it left me almost as soon as it showed up. It takes two years for your body to replace all the calcium and iron that the first baby absorbed, so I would definitely wait or you'll be jeopardizing your health, as well as the health of your unborn child.

I did! I got pregnant with my daughter 5 months after my son was born. We planned it so that our children could grow up close together. My son is 14 months, and she is 2 months. It is nice for so many reasons. Even though I change so many diapers a day, and I hardly get a break it its wonderful. Especially in the long run, since i could get diapers out of the way, and they could be close in age at school, and so on. My son doesn't get jealous, he loves her. I say go for it!

I totally wanted another right away. We waited a year before trying again but if it was completely up to me it would have been sooner!

I did. But realized it wasn't wise. I'd rather wait until I can afford another one or at least until the first one's out of diapers.

i didnt necessarily want another baby right away, but i didnt follow doctors orders on waiting six-eight weeks before having sex again. i waited six-eight hours before i had sex again...............stitches in and all! at that point in time i didnt care whether or not i got pregnant again right away. we tried just for the hell of it. i didnt end up pregnant again, thank goodness!
it was fun trying though.
