Post on bulletin books Comic - Game Stores, Colleges, Library.
Be sure to write what Edition. Some people play only specific editions.

I am not in your area, but you might try asking this question in Yahoo groups under Dungeons and Dragons. There are lots of players out there who play everything from 1E to 3.5E. Good luck.
