Transformers Movie Special Effects?

I got a question about the Transformers Movie could they do this movie back in 84' with the special effects back then?

Not sure what your asking, since the movie did have special FX.

If your talking about live action, they (the studio) should NEVER have agreed to make the movie that way.

It's a f*cking cartoon. They should have just followed the fine example of the Incredibles and gone CGI.

I really HATE these live action movies based on cartoons and comic book characters. They kinda take all the fun out of watching it when it's live action.

I spend more time looking for the special effects and trick photography then actually enjoying myself.

Sure They Could, But It Would Suck, Because Most Of The Movies In The 80's Did. That Is Absolutely the Worst Movie Period In History. I Think The Transformer Movie Is Going To Suck Because Of The Complexity Of The Cartoon. How The **** Can You Write a Script About That?

They could have done the movie back then - the thing is that in order to do the kind of special effects they'll be using in this year's movie, they would have had to have a much larger budget back then to get even close to the same effects nowadays. And most likely it still would not have been able to match current special effects for quality. Good things come to those who wait...

Probably not, remember most of the movie will be generated with computers.

Now, could there have been a Transformers back in 84? Doubtful as live action. Would have take too much money.

They were pretty awesome! But I personally think Star Wars is the best visual effects. The movie was so good though!!!
