need fro speed carbon is not running?

i installed it ,,,copied its carck and then when i start it,,,,the screen
goes blackand returns to desktop,,with an error:
this programm illegal operation must be shutdown.
i have also downloaded its patch-v1.3 . But i didn't got to know how to use it .help!

Sounds like you got a bad version, happens with pirated software from time to time, try a different source and see if the problem persists with the new copy, if so, check for a .nfo for special install instructions, or you could just go buy it ;)
