I have a Canon Powershot sd600 digital camera. When I plug it in to my computer this mini program comes up and all I have to do is click download images to get them on my computer. But they download so huge that I cant email them out or use them online without first resizing them in Paint. Is there anyway I can modify the size that they will download to my computer to save the resizing step?

First step is to reduce the resolution from 300dpi (which is defult for most digital camera's) or higher to about 75-100 dpi and save back out, only thing the higher resolutions are good for are reporducing through prints. If they are still to large save them as a jpeg with the highest setting (12 in most programs) if still to large re-open the lowered resolution one and then save that back out as a jpeg at a lower setting (Medium is like 8 in most programs).

I am not a camera pro but i know you can open you pictures in paint or adobe photoshop, then save the pic as a jpeg that will reduce the file alot but lose some quality. then you could delete the orignal.
