Lots of people swear a big bowl of oatmeal every morning really helps with the milk. I really liked Mother's Milk Tea, you can get it at some health food stores. Brewer's yeast is supposed to help (I guess sprinkle it on something. Lots of water, avoid alcohol, coffee and tea as they are dehydrating (and also can get into breast milk).
As far as your diet, eat as you did during pregnancy although you don't have to be as strict, you can eat more fish, cheese, coldcuts, sushi things like that. Occasionally a sensitive baby is bothered by his mother eating spicy foods, citrus, broccoli, cabbage or other raw vegetables, caffeine or even dairy.

I would follow a diet...a normal diet. Just watch out for gas producing foods as they might produce gas in your infant. The best way to stimulate lactation is to have your baby nurse as often as she wants and to feed on demand not on schedule. I nursed 3 children and never had a problem with not enough milk. Your body will make enough based on demand. At about 1 to 2 weeks old your infant will demand to nurse what seems like every second of the day. It may seem like she isn't getting enough. However that is nature's way of boosting your milk supply. Anytime she hits a growth spurt, shes will demand more and your body will catch up. Just make sure you are drinking plenty of liquids.

I had a tough time producing enough milk due to previous breast surgery. Fenugreek is an herbal suppliment that the doctors and lactation consultants all recommended. Other then that I think the previous post was correct-nursing on demand is the best way. Oh and there is always pumping too, I was instructed to pump after every feeding. It's tough because you are already sore but it did increase my supply

Your body burns an extra 500 calories a day when you breastfeed. My lactation consultant told me to keep up a healthy diet. Its almost like you're still pregnant, because you are still eating for too. There is an herb call fenugreek that you can find at any health food store it helps increase lactations. There is also a tea called "Organic Mother's Milk" it real inexpensive and I live by it. My son is 5 months and is still nursing. So keep trying ;-)

Hi, You eat lots of juicy fruits and leafy vegetables, it will help you to energize yourself. You need to take care of yourself first so you can feed you child. Avoid eating fatty stuff like cheese, fast food and outside food to some extend so can control your weight. Drink lot of water and juices. If possible add jowar and bajra roti to your diet, it is very good for lactating mothers. Avoid toxic consumption if you are habitual. You can even take tonics and other medication from Doctors. That's it. Have a nice day!
