for birth control? I started using it as an aid for menstral cramps and I figured it out that it makes me start my period so I took my self off birth control pills and take black cohosh for 3 days straight til I start my period. Do you know anybody else that has done this, when I tell ppl they seemed shocked.

How long have you been on it? I'm concerned because I am heavily into herbs *10 years plus* and black cohosh is an abortive, which leads to blood coagulation. Please, I sincerely advise to stop taking it and talk to your doctor- you can do serious damage, not only to the reproductive system, your thyroid. Don't take a chance and if you are still bleeding after 9 days, go the ER. You'll wind up with headaches, massive infection that'll have you on detox. To rectify to this immediately, use red raspberry- if you can drink and steam the tea and drink every 3 hours.

added info: I am not trying to scare you, but to educate. If you're not familiar with herbology and what they do, you shouldn't be taking them. The internet is full of false claims, if you are genuinely interested in herb studies as medicalism, please by all means contact me and I will recommend alternatives. I wish you all the best, I really do.

it is a natural estrogen booster used in most over the counter menopause supplements. I don't know what you are trying to accomplish with it but you probably need to talk to your doctor before doing something like that.
