I have a teenage cousin that has every thing, am i way off base buying her a gift certificate?

No its a good idea...she will thank you for it....great idea .!!! its better than having to take it back than getting a crusty sweater and having the sleeve's that are way too short or getting that god awful green turtle neck....ewww

That is a perfect gift, i would love it, in fact i told everyone in my family to just get me gift cards or gift certificates anywhere, that way i can go to the mall by myself & just buy what i want. It's so much easier with gift certificates.

No way! It really all depends on the person. Some people think it is lazy of a person to give gift cards, but other people would rather have the gift card so they could find something they like, instead of receiving a gift they could possibly not like or never use.

I love gift certificates ... especially the new visa/mc ones, I know they cost more but they're more flexible, like for online buying or being able to combine them with a store gift card and get bigger and better ...

I love gift certificates. Everything is on sale after Christmas so you can get much more for the money. What fun to shop then!!!

not at all and if you don't know what store she likes go to the bank and you can get a visa gift card, you can use them any were visa is accepted.

Maybe you should consider one of those pre-paid credit cards. She can use it anywhere.
