Try relaxing over winter break instead and getting your mind off of school for awhile. Then your brain will be ready for the onslaught in January.

To prepare for psychology, just read a small biography of Freud. The wikipedia entry will do just fine. The wikipedia entry on psychology might also be a good idea.

To prepare for philosophy, read the wikipedia entry on philosophy, so that you can find out what it is, and what kinds of questions philosophers ask.

To prepare for Spanish, especially if it is the first time you will be learning a foreign language, you should definitely refresh your knowledge of grammar. Knowing how to easily recognize a sentence's subject, verb, direct object, and indirect object will help a lot. Knowing what prepositions and infinitives are will also help. And learn to recognize the tenses of verbs as well (past, present, future, subjunctive, etc.).

Best wishes to you!

studying a lot beforehand won't help that much...just keep up with the reading and assignments once you start the class. if you have textbooks for the classes, then start out by reading the first chapter just to become familiar with the content.
as for Spanish, if you've had Spanish before, review the vocabulary you know. if you have not, then start out reading that first chapter too.
good luck!!

See what kind of books those classes require; contact the college professors.
