No. I actually live this first hand. I have plenty of money, and nice things, and pretty much anything anyone could ask for, but I'm not all that happy. Money cannot give you emotional support and gratification, it can't give you a shoulder to cry on when your down, it can give you someone to sleep with at night. You of course then have fake friends because they only want to be your friend because you can pay for everything, and they know that you will because you can afford it. I am married, and my husband spends all his free time on the internet or playing video games. he doesn't help out around the house. I literally do nothing but clean all day. And take care of 2 kids. I've asked for a nanny/housekeeper, but he tells me no, because I already have it too easy. I do nothing but cook, clean, change diapers, laundry, and listen to kids cry. When I do get out I do nothing but shop and spend money. It's really really boring. I spend money to try to make up for the lack of affection and attention i receive from him. I would rather be broke, and loved than well off, and depressed. It's really not all that great.

Well there are both sides a coin the paradox of sorts. Money does makes things better financially. Many divorces are based upon money issues. If you have financial problems it leads to divorce because sorry to be male chauvinist, but the women has more financial resources to go out and work for themselves and make a single family homes(opportunity to get a divorce). If women did not have to work and the male supported the family by himself the women should be able to stay at home and take care of the kids but domestic work is a lot to raise the kids, it is hard work but now the ecomonic factors of reality makes it where now both parents and partners have to work. Divorce usually ends in monetary calculations and splitting the time to have custody battles of the child. Are you really happy without money.
Yet the other side of the coin, what happens when you have everything, King Solomon had everything, hundreds of wives well that was in the B.C. times yet he had tons of money, tons of gold and everything and what did he realize after everything, the only thing you can be sure of is death and your final destination. It says in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, "After all this, there is only one thing ot say: have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all that we were created for. God is going to judge everything we do, whether good or bad, even things done in secret."
Well even the celebrities have many divorces even though they have money and funny that the rich get the free giveaways more than the impoverished. They are not happy with their life situation either. Balance is the best. Everything in moderation.

It might make them happy for a short time, but not in the long run.
People who get everything they want are usually unhappy people. Look at those who have everything they want. They are not happy with this car or that one, they always have to buy another.
Those children who get everything they want look how they treat others. These children are not living in the real world. Spoiled children are just this, spoiled. The temporary need for this or that for it is a whim will get tired of this and that and move on, never being satisfied never being happy.
For example this one spoiled child I ran across wanted a horse, not just a ordinary horse. This was a champion roping horse and a very good one and very pretty horse. This kid got tired of this horse within a couple months moving onto a different animal. This animal stood in his stall all day long with know one talking to him know one spending any time with him. Being basically neglected. This was and is pitiful in my eyes, but because this boys parents had the money it was ok....

A person or you? We are each responsible for our own happiness. We chose to be happy. Choose to see the best in things. We have so much and are unhappy while starving aids babies have all they can want. Why? Perspective. Maybe if money and material things are going to make you happy, then I have nothing negative to say. Know what you want, pursue it, and be happy! I, personally, am happy simply having whatever I have, with whoever I am with, and having whatever money I have. Why? Because everything I have means nothing to my heart which matters more. Because I do not need a lover to complete me and then be happy. Because money is nothing to me, it's what I spend it on that makes people smile.

No. You need to have support and love from people around you. You need to feel needed. In order to be happy you have to feel you have a purpose. Happiness comes when you feel complete. It could be finding your true love or a perfect career. Money can't buy any of that. Money can't buy feelings.

yes but if they have a biologically based mental illness such as depression then no.
also, it does depend on the individual, people have differing passions, interests, criteria for what makes them happy, but money and having everything you want, definitely helps...for example, if you want to publish a book, if you have the money, you can publish it yourself instead of relying on external factors you can't control...as I stated before, it helps but since what makes people happy is subjective and varied, I would say...it depends...

Not really. Because if I can have everything my way and get it so damn easily, then life would be boring. Before long I'd start to question why am I alive?
