just make sure you still talk to her and hang out with her, just because you guys arnt close to each other at school doesnt mean you cant be friends.

this is very important tho, its happened to me many times when i was younger, i lost a lot of friends because i didnt bother to keep any connections with them each year, and then finally i we all went to a new school, and they all went away

you have to learn to stay frineds with your real friends and always stay in touch, make sure you call them alot, and arrange many dates to hang out with them

but most importantly...if you end up losing them because of that, then it turns out that they were'nt really your friends in the first place
trust me ive seen it all

peace...

Wow, you are a selfish child aren't you? She can't have any new friends?! Not even one? Even if you two stay close? Wow. I guess she should just sit in a corner and collect dust.

You two will see each other before and after school. Perhaps an after school activity? Change is good, change is growth. You never know you may meet new friends. She might too. Then you could all be friends, together. That would be nice, wouldn't it?

This is life !

But still you both can be friends, just being friends. You do not have to do anything extraordinary. You will have to learn on your own how you keep your friendship intact. Everyone goes through this and this is not the last time you will miss someone.

At the same time it should stop you from making new friends ! life is life water, it has to flow to preserve its putiry.

Many good things are waiting for you.

she won't forget about you if you keep on hanging out with her.....friends grow apart but you can do your share to make it work. Just because you don't have a class together doesn't mean you can't still be friends

Ha. That was funny. Are you in kindergarden? Friendships DO go outside the classroom, or so I hope. If you can't find a way to meet with her afterschool, or get together on weekends, then you don't deserve any friends. (: Good luck with your school year.

Seems like you are just like me: afraid of losing a good friend.

Like the other answers said, hang out during breaks, after-school etc...But try to make new friends in your new class too. It never hurts to make new friends ;)

Good Luck and hope you have fun in your new class.

You still have after school and weekends. you can get together, and hang out then, this is also a great chance to make new friends. old freind are still important to keep in touch with, so you can see each other then.

Call, and email! Plan activities on weekends and don't forget that no matter what, they will always be there. You could also make new friend and still keep your old ones.
