Well, since Six Flags is 2BILLION in debt, you may be able to pick up one of the parks for cheap (Go for Magic Mountain in Valencia)

These are my estimates for some amusement park roller coasters. This doesn't include all of the roller coasters though. These are actually some Six Flags 1999, and later additions. I heard that Animal Kingdom costed $800 million when it first opened. They just added a $100 million ride though known as Expedition Everest. I would guess that most Six Flags parks would cost totally about 300 million or so with the rides all new.

I'm going to pick up where Mandylover's left off. Nice work Mandy.

But let's not forget the difference between owning a amusement park and operating an amusement park.

You may be able to afford the rides, but can you afford to service them, pay your ground crews, Food & Beverage, Merchandise, Games, Security, etc...

What we often forget is that these parks are like mini cities. They make a lot of money, but they must have a lot of operating capital in order to make it all work. This is why most parks start out smaller with a few rides. Then add rides every 2-4 years to spur attendance and provide their patrons with new thrills.

The Six Flags family of parks has been around so long, they've had plenty of time to add more rides. Thus a Six Flag Park is going to cost you more.

I believe Six Flags Valencia, which is one of the several parks for sale, would be valued somewhere around 750 million to 1.2 billion +.

Ofcourse you could start with a smaller park and work your way up. Also, from a business stand point, the indoor waterpark is where the future is at.
