I like checkers, monopoly and scrabble, but want something new! There's just so many to choose from at the store!

Get Apples to Apples.
The object of the game is to make the best match.
You have a hand full of 7 red cards (nouns). Each round, one player is the Judge and turns over a green card (adjective).
Each player except the Judge secretly plays a red card they think will be the best match for the green card. Then the Judge picks the best match, and the player who played the best red card gets to keep the green card as a way to keep score. Then the next player is Judge for the next round.
For Example:
The Judge turns over a green card: "Annoying"
People play the following red cards:
Traffic
Mice
Nuclear War
Tom Cruise
The Judge thinks it over and eventually picks Tom Cruise. The person who played Tom Cruise keeps the green card "Annoying". Everyone except the Judge then draws a new red card to bring their hand back to 7. Now it's the next players turn to be Judge.

For someone who likes those types of games, I would recommend Upwords it is like scrabble but you can replace letters to form new words or Life which is a fun way to explore life's different possibilities.

Life is so fun for some reason. I love playing it! I don't really like the different versions, like the Monsters Inc version or whatever. I just like the normal one!
I also love playing Cranium, but if you don't want to use your brain, DON'T get it! :)

when i went 2 visit my cuz she had lord or the rings monopoly and it made the visit a good time or try C,S,I boerd game it is so i say so fun

Scattergories is my absolute favorite! You should also try Trivial pursuit, scene it and catch phrase.
