I think that there are some people who have committed crimes that should be punishable by death. For instance, someone who rapes and murders a child. But.... there are people who have convicted of a crime punishable by death who were later found to be innocent through DNA testing etc. So I am against capitol punishment. There was such an incident in my general area of a child being raped and murdered. The guy was eventually put to death but it cost the taxpayers even more money because of numerous appeals.

it may actual be banned in international locations that produce different procedures of incapacitating the worst criminals. that is human nature to make blunders and with capital punishment, blunders are irreversible. some solutions that you've received are incorrect about deterrence and charges. i'm itemizing my elements decrease than. Capital punishment costs a lot more beneficial than existence in penal complex. that is basically by way of a lot extra complicated and lengthy criminal procedure. (be conscious: lots of the 124 harmless human beings free of death rows had already served over a decade. If the approach were accelerated we may actual execute harmless human beings.) Capital punishment isn't a deterrent. (Deterrence- persuading others now to not dedicate the same crime.) to act as a deterrent a punishment should be confident and quick. The death penalty is neither. homicide costs are critically larger in states and international locations with the death penalty than in those with out it. No respected study has shown the death penalty to be a deterrent. Incapacitation ability to ward off a criminal from reoffending. (prevents recidivism) The death penalty actual incapacitates a criminal. So does existence with out parole, meaning what it says, is confident and quick and charges decrease than the death penalty. Is capital punishment necessary for some cultures? the U. S. unearths itself interior the employer of China, Iran, Saudi Arabia in operating in course of the death penalty. No different stepped forward western helps the death penalty. Which way of existence is the U. S. maximum like??

Let see, I have kids. Tough question. No I guess I wouldn't want the system to kill anyone who hurt or killed my kids. I'd want to do it myself. CAPITAL PUNISHMENT; Hummm...
EYE FOR AN EYE; SURE WHY NOT.
There are crimes that are so unspeakable that to allow an animal disguised as a human being be justified as someone with a problem to go on existing; that's where i have a problem. You are all living in a fantasy world where you actually believe that some evil people; rapist, murders and child molesters deserve the compassion they failed to use on their victims. Screw that.
Saddam Hussein; Osdim these guys; ya they deserve a nice cell three square meals and a shrink to talk things over with. Get real people!! Some people just don't deserve to co-exist with the rest of humanity and its wild life.
PEACE OUT

Capital punishment is neccessary. What use are the evil people to the world. They simply make it worse for all of us.If criminals are killed then others would not follow in their footsteps.Mankind would realize that the good will not tolerate it.Its not about reveng. Its about crime and punishment so the crime does not happen. For example if there was no consequence in crime then it would be everywhere. So if a person is killed for a crime others would not commit it.Such people do not deserve to live among us.Society is like a window. The dust and grime are those people who ruin it.If they are wiped out.The world is perfect.

My nephew was murdered when he was 16 years old. He was killed slowly and saw his own death coming for a long time before he died. I think he must have been so afraid during that time between life and death. My family was left in shambles. We sat in a courtroom and watched his killer make a mockery of the justice system and of his victim's life. The killer didn't get death, but life in prison, which boiled down to about seven years. He planned on punishing my family when he was released, and I know this because the a**hole told me. He died of a heart attack about 3 months ago, and I celebrated. I believe that if you take a life, you should pay with your own - if not for the punishment, then for the prevention. Wouldn't it be sad if a murderer was released from prison (and they will be eventually) and he met someone you love in a dark alley, or store, or home, and you would be left wondering if your loved one felt fear and pain and hopelessness before he died and why did the system fail and release a killer to kill again?

I feel like everywhere should be like Texas,"An Eye for an eye". So in many ways I believe in the death penalty and they shouldn't keep them in jail so long. Just give them enough time to tell their families goodbye. That's if he or she kills. Like murder. Now if it were an accident then its different. But when someone kills on purpose then they have made the choice for themselves.

Instead of Capital Punishment the criminals (Edit : after a fair and thorough) trial should be isolated for life time.

I do believe in capital punishment. It was meant to be a deterrent to murder but it is not used properly or often enough to be a real deterrent. No one is perfect, but that shouldn't be an excuse to murder someone.

I call BS on this one. I f saw a man kill you in the woods just for walking by, and I in staid killed him, I would be wrong by law. Every man has a right to a fair trial. But, if you were repaeatedly raped by the man and left hungry, captive knowing you were to die, would you feel the same of his right to live? The justice system spends more on those sentenced to die, than any other prisioner sir. Look it uo. I did. How fair is that to the captive, the taxpayers supporing it(against their will) and God. I would kill a man raping my neice. I hope you would do the same.
