You do. You just don't recall them.

People have given some good reasons why you're broken, so here's a way to fix yourself. :D Dream journals. People dream about 3-5 times an 8 hour night of sleep. IMMEDIATELY when you wake up, have a notebook or paper of some kind and a pencil (because a pen may take that extra few seconds to get going) and start writing everything you remember. You're brain does a massive dump of non-essential memory all the time and one happens right before you wake. Most of the time, it's not quite down the drain by the time you wake up and you will remember a portion of it. (Unless you wake up suddenly because of outer stimuli and sometimes can remember it all). By writing it down, you effectively tell your brain that dreams are valuable knowledge, not the video games it plays while you sleep. Like any memory exercises, the more roads you can make to remember, the better you will remember. Write it down, speak the dream (aloud or to girlfriend, sister, friends), and read the journal every few days in a study manner. All would help.

Another good tip for help is to make sure you sleep on a steady schedule. Always 12 to 8. Every day. For example. Whatever it is, stick to it. Gets your body in a natural rhythm.

You do dream every night...several times. However, if you wake up more than a half an hour after a dream has ended you won't remember. This is always the case. You always dream, but don't always or never remember.

Everyone dreams, my friend. It's just that we don't always remember them. We dream several times during the night, and we often remember those that occur just before we wake up. But we aren't dreaming constantly, so if you're waking up during one of these 'in-between' periods it's quite possible you have no recollection of dreaming at all.

you do dream, its just that you don't remember. you know when you could remember, it felt like a short dream, but you were sleeping for a long period, thats because you forgot most of it. another example would be when you wake up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water, then you forget where you left off in your dream.

well, it's not that you don't dream anymore, it's just that you aren't remembering your dreams. try getting more sleep, and if you're interested in remembering your dreams, try keeping a journal next to your bed so you can write down key points when you wake up.

I agree with the first answer. You did dream but you didn't remember coz you did not fall into deep sleep (Rapid Eye Movement stage). Remember our sleep has 5 stages and REM is the last one. Even if you are not on stress, you can still forget your dreams.

I used to dream a lot too (and I would wake up and not know what I dreamt of, but I thought it was interesting...).

I think dreaming is more common when you're less than 12...

You always dream, just that you don't remember them. If you drink, take drugs or are subject to a great amount of stress, then that might be the reason. Do you sleep properly (enough hours, peaceful sleep) ?

I can mostly relate, I can no longer fly in my dreams, and I know it is because I have grounded myself in a bad place in the waking world...if you have altered any medications recently that could be it....it is either medication or you are so stressed about something that you are blocking your dreams.
Sweet Dreams, soon.

I read a dream book once and it said this to retrieve your dreams....

The second you wake up you need to remember to do this routine:
Keep on asking yourself "What was my dream about?", if you do this enough and you get enough practice you should be able to answer your question
