Do I have a better chance publishing with Publish America (they have accepted my book and sent the contract)- I realize they are a company who only lists the book on their website and you have to go out and get book stores to buy your book.- or do I have a better chance with lulu.com... can I go to book stores and ask them to buy my book from the site?

Which is the better choice?

thanks

I have never heard anything good about Publish America. Your best bet is to BURN that contract and never look back. Here is one writer's experience at this link here:

Lulu.com is more legitimate because they ask for no money or contract, you keep ALL the rights, and it's completely up to you as far as how your book is sold.

Bookstores generally do NOT take self-published books, though.

Good luck! and Be careful!!

Both sound like a bad idea, unless this is your last-ditch effort to get your book published. If you haven't already, do some research, find out which publishers accept the type of book you've written, and then send the editors queries/synopses/sample chapters, whatever they ask for. Do it the traditional way first. It's not quick and easy, but self-publishing can be something of a quagmire. Do your homework.
