You ought to consider putting away the relative that is a sexual predator instead. They have a habit of turning on people.

Yes-do not allow this relative to be ALONE with your Pets for a sexual predator will target Small,Easy to control as his victims and since Sexual Predators are also Occupied with Sex and Seize any opportunity when presented-your pets would be easy victims -more so the dog than the cats but its more likely that the cat will scratch out of fear and the relative then in (predators are also easily prone to anger, rage when their actions are thwarted or fought against like a cat would, would and could seriously hurt the cat(s) and even the dog. By putting away I'm assuming thtyou would keep separated in a different room of the house etc when this relative comes around but would not banish my pets for they would not understand why can't be with me but I would let the relative Know that I know and therefore would supervise whenever at my house-why should my pets be punished for his illness(this is a illness where the person can exercise Self-Control for is NOT driven by urges beyond his/her control.I certainly would not even consider for a minute NOT having my pets by giving them away for I'd choose my pets over the relative.
