Across or length wise? I get these friggen little black dashes in the nail that appear out of no where and stay there till the nail grows out so they can be clipped off. About 20 years ago I saw a readers digest article on nail health and what the different things mean. I've been trying to find the article but have had no luck so far.

Hello ! Get them checked out by a dermatologist ! I'm not trying to scare you but melanomas appears under nails. don't listen to any other comments by people have no experience. The correct procedure would be is you visiting a dermatologist. Please don't wait to long, do the correct thing ! melanomas can be very dangers if not treated Early enough. Good luck.

did you wear dark nail poilsh sometimes it can stain your nails just dont wear nail polish for a while it will go away.
