my iPOD is turning on and off without me doing anything how do you get it to stop?
i just downgraded the software and now it wont stop

If this is happening to you while you're listening to a song, you need to contact Apple Support. Are you sure you're not running out of battery?

If this happens while you're just sitting on the menu screen, this is natural. After about 3 minutes of inactivity when you're not listening to a song, or playing a game, etc., the iPod will automatically shut off to preserve battery life.

Simply, if its possible , restore it to its original settings using your itunes.
