First of you need to get in shape so if you don't know any one on the team that you would want to lift with here are some basic lifts. Bench Press, Military Press Incline bench, Squat, and dead lift, there are a lot more you could do but these are some good main lifts (i would suggest going every day). After lifting you should go running start with a jog after a little bit sprint then jog then sprint. you could also ask some of the other football players (some one that has been on the team for awhile and knows what he is doing) to run threw drills, and help with tackling form. When you show up to practice you have to be aggressive don't let anyone tell you that you arnt good enough. and make sure to listen to the instructions given by the coaches. I hope this helps you : )

It's easy to learn yea.

Mastering, or even excelling however takes hours of practice, work, conditioning and even studying.

Buy the book "An Idiot's Guide to Football" by Joe Theismann. It's definitely not for idiots, however, it provides a lot of useful info. about the game itself.

if ur in middle school, all u need to do is stick to the basics, thats what u do in middle school. in high school it gets a little more complicated, but the main thing is is to never get too worried about those things and if u have a question,ASK. coaches would rather have u ask then not know and blow something during a game. just my opinion, thats how i did it but i started playing in 3rd grade(shopws u how good i was,im sitting here writing on yahoo answeres, lol)

Learning the rules are easy if you practice, but being good at it, is another thing.
