My birth Mother. I knew her growing up as my Mother's best friend from childhood. I went to see her in August when I heard she was dying of cancer. My mother who lives back East didn't want me to make the trip to see her friend even though she is only 5 hours away, she even called my husband and told him to tell me that I should not go, go to the funeral instead.
I had only planned on going for 3 days. But when I got there she told me that I was her daughter and that was why she had always stayed close to me. She gave me up because her abusive husband fought her for custody of the dog (back in the 70's) she found out she was pregnant after she left. She knew he would try to take me. So they kept it a secret. The funny thing is I used to wish she was my mother when I was little. Life got in the way, my marriage, moving, kids and I should have kept in touch better with her, I would have had I known.
She was only expected to live in hospice a few days, but I stayed with her the whole time and she lived a month. It just wasn't enough time and I wish my kids had gotten to know her better.

My grandfather, so I could do it over, not take him for granted, and realize people don't live forever; not spending more time with him is my deepest regret. The person you love most in this whole world could be taken from you at any moment, when you least expect it. I would give anything to spend one more day with my grandfather...

I would really want my mother to come back. But since I know her life would still be a living hell I wouldn't be that cruel to her.So I believe I would want to see my brother's , I never met .They were twins that died .They would be about 12 years older then me.

My husbands mother, she died when he was 13, i know i might be asking for trouble (you know all the mother in law problems) but i think he would be a lot different and I wouldn't have to explain what death means so early to my daughter.

I'm thinking of people for everyone else.
The only friend I could think of for myself was always there for me. She was dying of cancer and I didn't know it. I didn't have a chance to be there for her or to say goodbye.
