1st of all, it doesnt need itunes to recharge just a usb 2.0 connection. Itunes only updates your music, etc. You can also charge it at a electronic store. Most electronic stores have an ipod dock to try out and mess with. put it on that and let it charge for five minutes. Keep an eye on it, don't let anyone take it. Then you are set.

There is a store called "5 below," which is like a Dollar store. Anyhow, I bought an iPod charger there which simply plugs into the wall. It works great and it's designed for iPods.
Also, if your aunt's town has an Apple store..take your ipod there and charge it while you fool around with the new ones.
Cheers.

You don't need itunes to recharge your ipod on your computer. You just can't add any files.

It doesn't matter if your aunt doesn't have iTunes, you can connect your iPod and it will charge anyway, since iTunes ain't the one that gives the energy to the iPod.

yes. Generally tho for travel, I bring my charger thing I bought. They are quite cheap and plug right into a wall so you don't need plug in to computer.
