And if so, in public, and watched by all?
Come on, i know he did all that, and i aint saying he should not die, but HUNG? thats harsh, and he is probably repented. I think life in prison, or we should hand him over to IRAQ(OFFICIALS).
I Say he should not die, i guess im the only American with a heart.

Personally public hangings are one of my faves. I think that is the problem here in the US is that we have so many people who are screw ups because we are so concerned about doing things humanely for children I can understand, but for adults who knew what they were doing was wrong yet did it anyway. Meanwhile our judicial system takes them and puts them back out on the street to kill, rape, molest, and sell more drugs again and again, because when it comes to punishment we're wusses. It supports the criminals rather than others. I don't think we should allow plea bargins by anymeans. Come on seriously, I want my children to have a decent place to grow up, but our system is screwing that all up. I have a heart, I can forgive, but I will never forget. We allow fellons back on the street, they are not allowed the right of a hand gun, or the right to vote yet the courts will allow them the right to screw another life up. Parents are killing children and visa versa I think it is time to take a stand and have real punishments rather than ...well... we'll give you a shot to put you to sleep because thats humane regardless how in humane your crime was. Give me a break. Actions have consequences and those consequences should be just as real as their crimes.

No.

If Saddam is hung, there will be an inevitable risk of Saddam being retrospectively perceived as a martyr. That will validate the inner conflicts of many moderate muslims in the Middle East, and will radicalise them.

Plus, the Sunni's are in enough sh!t at the moment.

I think that he should have to be put to death, because of all the things that he has done to his people. I don't think that hanging is the most correct way, But, they did try him in a court of his own county, this is what they decided. That is the one thing that we are not thinking about. It got people killed even after he was not in power any more. I remember when they were telling us about, all the lawyers and family's that were killed or harmed.

He needs to pay for his crimes, because he chose to do them, not us. He has to make amends for what he has done in his life. He chose to run his country the way that he did. For that he needs to take responsibility.

If you killed someone in America there is the chance that you could be put to death, some states still do that ya know. You would have to take responsibility for your actions, why does he not have to?????????????

JUST BECAUSE I FEEL THIS WAY DOES NOT MEAN THAT I AM NOT AN AMERICAN!!!!!!

nah, a hanging is too gentle. I can think of a few ways to off his butt, maybe burning by chemicals or take him to one of the "hospitals" that he ran over there that tortured and killed the family members of soldiers that refused to fight. (my hubby blew one of them up over there so I know that they existed) It's not about having a heart it's about being real. you can't even imagine the evil things this guy did and was responsible for, he's the equivalent of a modern time satan. Why don't you have a heart for the victims and the families victims and perhaps after this prick is no longer existing they might find a little justice.

Bush might be bad, but Saddam is beyond Bad.....All of the rest of you have said what what I think. Nice to see there is still a sense of justice in the US. Let's hope his surviving victims get some satisfaction from his execution. I have a heart for the thousands who were killed.

No.
He should be made to suffer the pains and suffering he has caused all the people of Iraq. And he should have to watch all the video evidence of his crimes till he dies...But that is too good for him...Because we in the USA feed and provide educational needs and health needs...He should be treated like he treated his people. At any rate ...he is now Martyr to the Morons that follow him

Ever see those pictures of the gassed Kurdish children in the streets? Glad to see you have a heart for them, too.

They should do worse than hang him. Do you know the things he is responsible for? ...... how about the murder of over 1 million of his own people, including infants in front of their parents, rape, torture, etc. You need to read more about what he did to that society, and his sons were just as bad.....good thing they were killed. There's a point where we need to be compassionate, but not for extreme cases like this or that of Hitler.

There is going to be a lot of rioting and other violence if he is hung, especially considering that there are a lot of concerns about the fairness of his trial.

Yes, IN public.

Look, in Singapore you get the death penalty for armed robbery. Americans have NO IDEA how good they have and how lenient our Country is.
