There are a couple of commercials on TV now with Ronald playing with kids, like with cool music and being all hip, like skateboarding and stuff...
With that said, I totally disagree that fast food companys are marketing towards children! What nonesense!
Pshh, people act as if there is some kind of childhood obesity epidemic or something...

any thoughts??? ;-)

Yeah, I think one commercial says at the end something to the effect of "remember to make healthy choices kids" but you know fully well that no kid is gonna be, nah, I don't want fries, just give me a salad, no dressing. I just think it's wrong.
Then again, it is the parents to blame too... Growing up I ate fast food like once a year, at least until I started driving.

Oh yeah, I like the mention of Supersize Me, cause ever since that movie I cut out fast food almost completely, and now if I eat even just a little I feel sick. It's weird how your body can adapt to eating all the gross stuff and then go back to rejecting it. I feel 100% healthier since that, which was, however many years ago...

I rarely eat at McDonalds. Watching "Supersized Me", like most people also grossed me out. I also read the guy's book on "Supersized" too I think it was called "Don't Eat This Book".

Beside, Ive always found thier fries way to salty.
A friend of mine got really really sick after eating some chicken mcnuggets. She recovered ok but her stomach seemed to be in a lot of pain! She said it was worse than having your "P" week. .
To this day she calls nuggets "Nugget McEvil" .

Ive seen some of the new McDonalds commericals..... Im sorry, but Ronald still creeps me out.... I hate clown and HES a clown!! Clowns are EVIL (mmm and we wonder why McDoanlds is so bad......evil clown!)

No i've got no longer observed yet possibly I would desire to look tougher. yet forget approximately the McDonald's commercial, have you ever seen the Popeye's and Church's fowl commericals? they do no longer even attempt to cover that they are focused on blacks.

I totally agree. TIMES have changed. Years ago, a warm summer afternoon would be bursting with the sounds of children skipping rope, riding bicycles, playing tag football and running wild on the playground. Nowadays, most children spend their leisure time cramped inside "virtual playlands" where video games, television and fatty snacks rule. Experts say the mixture of sedentary play and the constant consumption of unhealthy snacks is making our nation's children progressively fatter. Statistics reveal the percentage of children and adolescents who are overweight has more than doubled over the past 30 years.

"When I was growing up, I went outside and played, ran, and jumped--I did all sorts of things," recalls South Carolina registered dietitian Jeannette Jordan. "Today, many of our children are rather sedentary, and now that food is so much more accessible, a lot of our children tend to eat high-fat foods and fast foods, instead of the fruits, vegetables and low-calorie snacks." Jordan adds that children on the dangerous path to obesity are "setting themselves up for every major chronic health condition in existence."

There is a difference between an overweight child and an obese child. An obese child is described by health experts as one who weighs more than 20 percent of his ideal weight. This extra weight can be dangerous. Reginald Washington, chairman of the Sports Medicine & Fitness Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics, warns that although obese children may not suffer the health risks of their condition now, they are sure to face them later if lifestyle improvements aren't made.

ever since the movie "supersize me" came out, mcdonalds started to come out with salads and parfaes to make it seem healthy, they also got rid of super sizing and made healthy commercials and they gave free walking meter thingys. i know, i disagree with mcdonalds, they are still making america unhealthy by tricking us into thinking their food is healthy. i say pshh to mcdonalds and all the other fast food restaurants too.

After watching "Supersize Me", I didn't think I'd eat McDonald's ever again. Two weeks later, I found myself at McDonald's.
