Definitely Christmas! The lights, the scents that remind me of my grandma's place, getting together with family. The absolute glee of finding the perfect gift for someone. The fun of watching kids get all excited, the magic of Santa Claus!
New Years seems to be just an excuse to get drunk. I think at least the Hogmany celebration in Scotland is nice or perhaps Paris, their celebrations seem nicer somehow than here in the States, but I still prefer Christmas.

Christmas, it's not the presents it's the music, decorations, food , spending time with people I don't always get to. It's just alot of fun. I enjoy being able to make someone happy, whether it's a gift or doing something nice and caring

Definitely Christmas. I think New Years is sort of depressing. Reflecting on the year that just passed and realizing that I really didn't accomplish much and could've or should've done this or that to grow as a person.

New Years because there is not so much pressure of buying everyone gifts... At least at New Years you can get drunk and kiss someone when the ball drops...
