Certain types of fish are very resilient,(did I spell that right?), and may be able to handle a VERY small amount, but as already stated you should change the water anyway just to be sure. Kind of off the subject, but just a tip when you take the fish out the change the water be sure that you put them in glass and not plastic bowls while the change occurs. Plastic can hold soap residue and as you already know this can be harmful to your fish. Always clean your fish tank with hot water and no soap or cleaner solutions. If it needs a little scrubbing because of algae, hard water build up etc. you can scrub it with a little bit of non iodized salt and rinse that off well.
Hope I have been of some help to you.

I would say to take your fish out and put them in a 5 gallon bucket (fresh water of course) and clean out your tank that you accidently got soap in. That would be the best option if you want to keep your fish safe from disease or dying. I did that before and changed the water immediately and they were ok.

Make sure that in the future you have cleaning equipment that is reserved just for cleaning your fish tank. Don't use it on anything else ever.
Hope your fish are okay.

If it was just a little bit they should be okay, since the filter will clean the water. But there is a chance that they could die - just keep an eye on them.

do a water change, DO A WATER CHANGE- LIKE NOW!
do that first, then clean your filters, filter pads, and wipe down inside the aquarium really well with paper towels take about 90% of the water out.

Just try to rinse well, otherwise they should be ok. I have always heard never to use soap in the bowl. RINSE it out!
