Any ideas on this? We are trying to come up with a list of things to do each week for EACH room, BATH (1/2 BATH, FULL BATH WITH SHOWER, AND MASTER BATHROOM) 3 BEDROOMS, KITCHEN, LIVING AND DINING ROOM. I do all the repairs and maintenance outside on a regular basis and I am trying to come up with a list for her for the interior of the house..

I ALSO am doing the chores for the exterior of the home on a daily basis as well..I would never ask anything of my lovely wife that I would not do. We have it that she does the interior of the house and me the exterior of the house..

I am from the USA and I'm not a man or manly...and honestly, a cleaning schedule makes a lot of sense. I do in-home health and one of my jobs is cleaning my client's houses....we schedule certain rooms/jobs on certain days, and it gets done every week because of the routine. I do the same at my house as well. It doesn't sound like you are controlling to me...and it sounds like you are doing your fair share of the work, too.
I'd have her pick a room for each day and clean it from top to bottom...and then just kind of tidy up the rest of the house each day.

You are making a work schedule for your wife????????????
DO you pay her a wage?

WOW!!!!! I am so amazed and dumbstruck..

If you don`t like what you see, Why don`t you clean it? You live there and make messes too. I mean if you or she, sees somehting that needs to be done, Well, just do it... How hard is that?

Do you schedule her whole life? How in the world did she get along before you took over her life?

I wonder what in the world you saw in a person who doesn`t know how to get along in the world without someone to guide her every move. Is she an idiot or retarded?

This is 2006 and believe it or not, Most folks can do things with out help (such as having someone scheduling their daily activity) from anyone else. If not, then they are disabled, and need a caretaker.

I mean, if you are her caretaker you should be getting paid for it..

WOW, What is the world coming to?????

You should have let your wife ask this question. It would probably have been sincerely answered by more than one person. I'm with all the other women...unless your chores are also daily, why don't you split cleaning the interior?

Monday: Nag husband to clean bathroom after he bathes.

Tuesday: Nag husband to put his dirty clothes in the hamper.

Wednesday night: Tell husband you are too tired and have a headache.

Thursday: Nag husband to put dishes in dishwasher after he has a midnight snack. (If you don;t have to nag him, give that guy a Klondike bar!)

Friday: Make husband sleep on couch for not appreciating all your hard work.

Saturday: After such a tiring week you deserve a break. Go to get a manicure and pedicure.

Sunday: Make schedule for husbands chores.

The house should be clean when it looks dirty..As long as the house is clean, there should be no schedule... sounds like someone is a control freak.. If you push her you will get pushed back...
