Bob Dylan did not fit in with his folk music pals. he created his own style. He is a genius. from his folk music acoustic guitar days to when he picked up the electric guitar.Bob was seen as an outcast.he dramatized the dilemma of the marked man. he had the sign. a hero who rejects society and strives to find a higher meaning in a strange world of his own making.
he was one of the creators of the 60's generation that I am so proud of have experienced. I remember seeing Bob Dylan live at the Bitter End on Bleeker Street and at Carnegie Hall NYC back in 1963

One of the most tumultuous, historic and generational changing decades in our history, which was also a fun, loving, and helping your fellow man decade. I, too, am proud to have lived through the good and the not so good times of the 60's and will remember it always. Yes, Bob Dylan was influential to many, but he was his own man, a visionary of the times, and it showed in his music. You really needed to live it , to fully grasp the impact of the 60's, I'm so glad I had the opportunity!

I saw him, at first, as the logical extension of Woody Guthrie. There are other entertainers and bands that stereotype the decade, better.
