12 for newborns, they seriously poop a lot. If you want to save tons of money, go with cloth diapers. you'll save $2000!

It depends on a lot of things. On average a newborn will go through 8-10 diapers per day whether breast or bottle fed. However, at the 3 month mark, some breastfed babies will actually go days without having a bowel movement (BM), which means less diapers. My first son had a BM every 6 days and that was fine for him. My newborn goes everyday and that's normal too. Formula fed babies are not likely to go days without having a BM because formula is not as easily absorbed as breast milk. So there you go, every baby is different, but you can usually count on 8-10 diapers per day.

A breastfed newborn should have AT LEAST 6-8 wet diapers each day.

I have a 5 week old and he goes though about 10 diapers a day.

Also, generic diapers work just as well and cost 1/2 as much. They all end up in the trash anyway!

For a new, new baby, I'd say 12 diapers a day. They poop after every feeding, and they eat every 2-3 hours. Plus you change them when they're just wet, and after baths, so...

After a couple of months, you can probably get by with 6-8 a day.

And a toddler might need only 3-4 a day.

It's spendy. No question about it.

I have two children and I remember that I changed them when they were newborn (about the first three months) about 10 times during the day, and about once or twice during the night...phew! But after about 4 months it dwindles to about 7 or 8 times a day and maybe once during the night if they would wake up really wet, but hopefully they'll be sleeping through the night by then!! :)

1 diaper every 2 hours unless they did a stinky.. so 12 -14 diapers a day as the get older less diapers.

Yep, 10-12 per day... about every 2 hrs depending on how wet... we always changed either when our son woke up, or after the feeding. Buying larger boxes helps save a little money.

It depends, for example if baby has diarrhea he can use 1 1/2 package. keep in mind that every time baby eats poops. If baby is breastfed he w/eat every 2 hours because they get tire sucking & do not fill-up.
