Well, that basically explains it. I know that different people like different games, but what are the more popular ones? (And appropriate for 12-year-olds)

I would probably also recommend the first Lego Star Wars game on xbox, as that one would be easy to find as well. Also, any of the star wars games are pretty good as well like: Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic 1 + 2, Star Wars:Jedi Academy and maybe Kung Fu Chaos. In addition to those you might also look for the King Kong game.. that's usually readily available. I work at a Game Crazy store and we usually are able to find you games for the right ages if you come into any of our stores!

In my opinion every game is kinda bad in some way.
You also need to explain what kind of console that you have.
Sports games are always good for young guys. Like Madden 07 or another kind of game like starwars battlefront 2. Even though that game is kind of old its still very fun.

My 12 year old likes Lego's StarWars II game. It is available for most platforms and age appropriate. Heck I enjoyed it too!

i would say monopoly is the ultimate board game ever... every child should at least play it once....
but these Xbox,PSPs etc etc are too much of a attraction nowadays

you can play many classes, it has a swear filter, so they cant swear at all.
