Age is not always tied to maturity. There are some older adults who still act like adolescents and some adolescents who act older. It all depends on you, how you were raised, etc. Twenty-two is very young. If you are mature, responsible, and dependable then you may be thought of as older and more mature by your friends and family. If not then you may be considered as 22 going on 17. You are as you are perceived and as you act. But, yes, 22 is considered as a young man. Heck, 40 is considered a young man to a 75 year old.

The constant cry for validation is getting boring.
It's not how old you are, it is what you do with your time that makes you FEEL old or not. If you are wasting your time obsessing, then yes, at the age off 22, you are an old, enfeebled man.
