Forgotten

By: Ragina Simmons

Forgotten
Like the dust on the widow seal
A river of blood flows recklessly
In the room overpowered in the loud muteness
There he lay
Suffocating in pain

Forgotten
Not only for his speechless personality
But for eternity
No longer would he be giving the opportunity
To say what’s on his mind.
He had the words
But wasn’t forceful enough to use them.

Forgotten
His intelligence
His true personality
His dreams
Only he knew
Now are Forgotten

Shhhhhhh, Listen

By: Ragina Simmons

I listen to the wind
While he whispers in my ear
He’ll tell me billions of his secrets
And reveal my deepest thoughts
Quiet not a word
I listen to the wind

Close your eyes
The wind will blow your mind away
He knows my deepest thoughts
He knows what I desire
He knows what makes me tick
And he knows what makes me sadden
The wind drives the ice-cold world away
Only for that moment
He rides my soul to my designated location

I believe it is trying to identify the emotions of the soul of the person that has died.... saddened, helpless, hopeless...

I'm not making heads or tails of your question. I seems that all those passages are lines from some poem or another, and naturally they are all metaphorical... asking "What figure of speech is 'suffocating in pain'?" is like asking "What nation is Argentina?" — 'suffocating in pain' *is* a figure of speech, so the answer is in the question. Then again, I'm not up on the latest terminology in poetry classes, so there might be something I'm missing here...

Forgotten not only for his speechless personality.......forgotten not only because he was shy and quiet.
A river of blood flows recklessly......He's alive but nobody takes notice.
The wind will blow your mind away......to let your mind wander....be lost in thought.
The wind drives the ice cold world away......daydreaming about a better place......forgetting reality if only for a moment.
Not sure if that's what you are looking for.....but I gave it a try.....good luck!!!
