we have a big tin full of old pennies and my boyfriend wants to know some of the values of them are they are mainly 1951 but we have them from 1911 through to 1961

check on e-bay. lots of coins get sold there.it really varies from year to year and mint Marks and the grade. have fun

The first 15 are the new Presidential dollars, and the year should be on the edge of the coin. The next 3 are probably Eisenhower dollars (1971-78), and they are likely made of nickel and copper. If the year on the Kennedy half dollars is from 1964 to 1970, they will have some silver; otherwise, they are likely made of nickel and copper as well. The cent rolls are likely "wheat pennies." If these rolls are "sealed" by a bank, I would not open them; otherwise, there might be some more valuable coins in the rolls. The value depends greatly upon year and condition. 15 Presidential dollars: $15 3 Eisenhower dollars: $5 unless they are "like new" 2 Kennedy half dollars: $1 to $10 800 Lincoln wheat cents: $8 to $30 possibly more

If you mean U.S. cents, than the mint marked one in the teens and twenties and early thirties have some value as a collectors item. It depends on grade as to value. See A coin dealer if you find any. Key dates are 1909-S,1909-S VDB ( VDB on the back at the bottom, 1914-D,1922 ( no mint mark) and 1931-S. Early teen cents with an S mint mark have value also.

It has to do with key dates, condition the penny is in, and how many were minted. Here is a link to look at the values.

Hay pennies can go for about 1-2 dollars.

the only truly valuable ones are

1909 S
1909 S VDB
1914 D

and a few others

any penny manufactured before 1971 has a HIGH copper content and is actually worth 2.0998cents so be happy lol

you have double what your jar is worth
