I think some people can actually make it good in life just by developing and using their talents (either acting, singing, business & people skills). And education itself does not only mean having a degree. We learn in anything that we do and that is education too (informal education). But if one is aiming to become a skilled professional in a certain line of work (as in being a doctor, nurse, lawyer, teacher etc), then education is a must and the higher the educational level, the better preparation / training one gets.

I think that education is good and important, but it is not a be all and end all. I think hard work, creativity, experience and intelligence are even more important, but a good education can add to that and refine it. I think the level of education depends on the job. For instance, I am a social worker and I have a masters and that helped me get a job. However, I have known welders and other tradespeople who had more of an apprentice-type education and that served them well. It all depends...

Education is most important--but not the kind you get in a school

Education means: "learning to think in terms of the prioritized internal real workings of things instead of just looking at their outward shape the way a child does".

So, of course "how to think successfully" is the first thing anyone needs to learn.

As to schools, after you're nine or ten, they're supposed to be places for "instruction"--using English, art, shop or some physical performance such as a sport to give each young person practice in applying scientific thinking to mastering skills. Then at 16--you're supposed to either get a job or else get ready for "higher learning".

I think that education is important. What do you mean by "most" important? Of course, education isn't more important than family. But I think that everyone should take education seriously. Education is what makes up your future life.

Formal education is overrated.
My most valuable education came after I dropped out of college and started studying the issues that were critical to ME, not some university or future employer.

i think that education is very important! it opens a lot of doors in life. however, i do feel that are different ways to be educated. some really smart and intelligent people don't have diplomas to prove it but that doesn't make them more stupid than anyone.
