All of a sudden they think they can win now that a weaker group as taken some of the control in our government.

Idiot on the right here. The terrorists are banking on American's not having the patience for the long haul and they are right, most don't. Now, look back to when Jimmy Carter was president and radical Iranian students took 63 American hostages, holding 52 of them for 444 days. All Carter did was talk and try to negotiate and they held the hostages. Only after Reagan was sworn in (immediately) did they RELEASE the hostages. They KNEW that the new administration would NOT just TALK, there would be action taken and consequences. So, the reason the attacks have INCREASED is because they know the dems won't do much about it other than talk.

They don't side with the dems, but they know with dems in office there will more chance for a mad rush to run.
most democrats made it well known what their view on this conflict is, you think terrorists are gong to let that slide? Bin laden said it years ago, and its not a right wing myth, "America is a paper tiger".
Do you just stand back and patiently wait for the enemy to withdraw or do you hammer at them relentlessly?
You attack! you push them harder and faster and you don't stop till you win, that's the oldest tactic in the book. But I don't take it you read many military, history or sociology books, so a fact like that may have slipped your notice
Why would The terrorists do that? Why would they put the high burners on? How about the fact it drives people like you in to a frenzy "Look at the body count! run! its worse than Vietnam! The war has been going on longer than world war 2!"
And who is exactly is ignoring the facts? only one seeming to ignore anything is you. try paying attention to some common sense, it misses you.
By the way there were over 55,000 casualties in Vietnam and WW2 lasted 8 years not 4. Something else you and your ilk might not have noticed on your moral high ground.

Because they know, based on the whining, moaning, complaining, protesting, back-stabbing, finger-pointing, smear-campaign-running, that they are very nearly winning this war. They know that the American people have been duped into feeling, somehow, that the losses are too great to continue even though, after 3 years at war, the death toll for American soldiers in Iraq has just recently surpassed the number lost on September 11, 2001 and the "disputed" weapons of mass destruction that Sadaam "didn't have" have now been admitted to by Sadaam himself yesterday when he took full responsibility for using chemical weapons on Iran.
Dems were sure a lot more innocuous when all they wanted to do was raise my taxes. This is getting serious now...they're messing with our ability to preserve our way of life...

Maybe you failed to notice the dramatic increase during the month prior to the elections. That strategy worked in the terrorists' favor.
Don't be taken in by the terrorists' tactics - they are banking on the American public growing weary of this war and withdrawing. And the democrats respond far better to their tactics of terror and murder than the republicans.
Sounds like they,ve already got you on their side.

All they are doing is "surging" to try and stabilize Iraq so they can flee with honor before the inevitable U.S. victory and the inescapable conversion of Iraqis to fundamendalist christianity under new midwestern "mullah" mofu Pat Robertson..
