Any instructions on what to do whether its messing around with settings or opening my computer WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!
Oh and by the way I also done a clean out of all the dust inside with a can of compressed air...so I highly doubt that dust is the problem.
Thanks!

I was going to suggest some of those things - but you already have done that. This means at least you are computer savvy.

Now, only thing I can think of is your fan is not efficient enough. Replace. Did you check to see if the blades are turning properly? Does it make one helluva racket when you turn it on? Then it is definitely the fan. The bearings burn out. If you have high end graphics card, it also needs a fan.

Your power supply fan should be running too. When all the fans are running, you should not really be able to hear them running.
It should be smooth.

Also there is a white paste (heat-sink) is available that has to be applied before placing the fan on the Intel Processor. May be you wiped it clean? Go get another small tube and apply.

Those ribbon cables, connecting various peripherals - move them out of the way of the ventilation. They obstruct air circulation.

Unnecessary restarts are definitely a problem related to not dissipating heat properly.

Well I work for the cable company..so I will give you some advice with the experience I've had with these types of problems.

1) Hit the right button on the mouse.
2) Go down to properties and click on screen saver tab.
3) Click the power button at the bottom right hand corner and make sure system standby and system hibernate both say "never".

Hope that helps..

I pc that is shutting down and or restarting randomly most likely means you have a faulty power supply. If you have a tester, try to test your power supply and see if it's functionally normally. It my past exerience and working with a computers, a pc that reboots randomly almost always means a bad power supply.

The better way to isolate the issue is to enter in to BIOS and leave the computer there for few hours. if it restarts in BIOS then it is a hardware issue.

Else clean installation of OS will fix the issue.

to enter in bios.
restart>>tap f10 ( for some computers it is f2 ).

it will take you to bios.

Best of luck.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
