There must be some superstitous meaning of this.
I recently seen two deer in my residential area and wondered if it has any significance to my life. Just curious and want to know if anyone can help. There must be some sort of myth; just like when a black cat crosses your path.

I live in West Virginia and when a deer crosses your path you better bet on meeting your auto insurance adjuster...lol..

.I've not heard of any myths on deer crossing your path. I've hit 2, and on my way home I see about 20-30 deer. (during night)

Just wanted to add an interesting fact about deer in WV. There have been over 30,000 auto /vs. deer reports.

Now let's not make up superstitions that have no basis in fact. If a deer crosses your path, then that's all it means. You saw a deer.

Best rememberance from childhood about deer is that if a deer crosses your path you will soon be lucky in finances, but your yard will suffer. If the deer doesn't complete its path across yours and you two hit each other, you will be out of pocket a large sum of money, it is considered unlucky.........since you are having to replace your windshield.

Personally, I don't think there is a meaning to life. Unless you count, work hard [difficult, me being lazy and all], play hard, and have no regrets. I consider that my philosophy though, so I'm not sure if that counts as the 'meaning of life.' Donuts, though, ARE good. My main question to your question is, is Life's True Meaning the person who posted up that "question" attacking barrel riders? I was going to try to respond to that, but in between catching the bus home and getting home, it was taken down. I realize that this has absolutely nothing to do with your question. But I recognize your name from when I reading the posts of whomever posted that atrocious question, and so I had to ask. As for what my horse is scared of. That's difficult. He's easily scared. Anything startling and new will scare him. Balloons, I would have to say, is the scariest thing for him.

It means you should remember to be grateful. A deer is a spiritual power that conveys our gratitude to our Creator. Don't take deer or anything important in your life for granted. (I think this is a Native American idea)

Nope, in Canada, it means get out the hunting rifles, there'll be fresh meat on the table tonight!!!! (That is, when deer are in season, and you are in an area where hunting is allowed). Otherwise, the only meaning is that you have been blessed by nature, to be able to witness some of the beautiful, wild creatures of your area.....then you eat them!!!!!

after the deer crosses your path, the way that you describe it changes. For instance, you don't say "they cross your path", you then say "they crossed my path"

Beware of this grammatical occurence. It is referred to as "the past tense"

Also: you might want to sleep with your shoes on!!!
