I am spending my Christmas without a partner. I have been alone for 3 years now since me and my boyfriend split. I miss him terribly as we were together for 10 years. Christmas is a really tough time to be alone.

Since my children are grown and have families of their own, Christmas has become the lonliest day of the year for me. We all celebrate together on Christmas Eve., but each little family does their own thing on Christmas day. When my kids were young, I can remember being so busy for a couple of weeks that I would meet myself coming and going, loving every minute of it. All the carols, baking, decorating, buying and wrapping the gifts. It was a great time and we made a huge bunch of memories. I am always invited to go to my daughters house on Christmas, but it's time for them to make those wonderful memories of their own. Things do change.

without a partner, but I'm ok with that because I don't feel obligated to go anywhere I don't want to. I'll be with my daughter and son in law on Christmas Eve. Then on Christmas day I'll be with my 2 best friends for a quiet, relaxing day and my daughter & son in law will stop by.

with. it is our first together and we are newlyweds. so far it is interesting. i read some of the responses, like the one with the kids who are grown up, or the lady who spend x mas day with her friends, or the lady who is single and alone after 10 years, and i was truly touched by some of these answers, that it brought tears to my eyes. no one should be alone at christmas. come over for an egg nog and have a merry christmas. we'd love to have you over !!

Without...but it's been that way for every Christmas and the same goes for Valentines Day. When you've been without someone for as long as I have, you're so used to it, it doesn't bother you.

With my hubby, but without one of my best friends.

I'm glad I have a good hubby. He makes every moment precious, not just Christmas.

My friendship with one of my best friends died this year; makes me sad when I see things or think about things I would have given them for Christmas.
